Privacy policy

GreatInvoice works without an account. Everything you enter is saved in your browser's storage on your own device, and never sent to us:

• your business details, logo, signature and stamp
• invoices, quotes, receipts, budgets, plans and every other document
• your clients, payments you record and your private notes
• settings such as dark mode and your numbering

PDFs are made on your device too. Because we never receive this information, we can't read it, share it or get it back for you. See Backups below.

Our website is hosted by Vercel. Like any website, when you load a page the hosting service handles basic technical details, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We use this only to run and secure GreatInvoice.

We don't use advertising, tracking cookies or analytics tools, and we don't build profiles of visitors.

The app uses your browser's storage (IndexedDB and local storage) to save your work and to work offline. This isn't used to track you. You can remove it at any time by deleting documents in the app or clearing the site's data in your browser settings. Clearing it deletes your documents, so make a backup first.

When you share a PDF on WhatsApp or another app, your phone sends it through that app, and that app's own privacy policy applies. A “Pay now” link or QR code on your documents points to your own payment provider, not to us.

You pay for Basic or Pro with MTN Mobile Money or USDT (crypto) (card payments are coming soon), then send us your name and the transaction ID on WhatsApp. We use these to confirm the payment and send your licence key, and we keep the message and payment record so we can help if you need your key again. We never ask for your mobile money PIN or your wallet's secret phrase. Your licence key is saved on your device and in your backups; it shows the name you gave us.

A backup is a file with all your GreatInvoice data that you save yourself, for example to your own WhatsApp chat or Google Drive. It stays wherever you put it. Anyone with the file can open your data, so keep it somewhere safe.

GreatInvoice is made for businesses and isn't meant for children.

We aim to follow the data protection laws of the countries we serve, including Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act and Kenya's Data Protection Act. Since your documents stay on your device, you're in control of them. If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
